Educator Preparation Program

Fort Lewis College

Master's Degree: Alternative Teacher Licensure


These programs are for full-time graduate students. This teacher-preparation program incorporates 800 hours of school based experience bolstered by innovative, personalized coursework. Candidates earn Colorado teaching licensure in the first year and receive ongoing mentorship and support while teaching full-time during the second year of the program. Programs include special focus on culturally responsive teaching. Exposure to a variety of curriculum designs and school environments in the Four Corners Region. Students graduate with the confidence and tools needed  to successfully teach K-12 or Secondary students.
